Thomas. Mrs. N.J. Thomas, wife of Elder J.M. Thomas, daughter of the late Daniel Mimbs. She was born in Laurens County, Jan. 27th, 1878 and united with the Silverleaf Primitive Baptist Churc in the year of our lord 1892. She was united in matrimony to J.M. Thomas, December 26th 1895 and held the high esteem of all who knew her as a devoted christion, wife and mother. She was un- wavering in her faith and stood true to the cause.She was the mother of ten children, two preceded her to that Celestial home, leaving 5 boys and 3 girls who survive her. After fifty years, two months and twenty six days the Master called and on the 22nd of April she had to lay her armor by, bid farewell to husband, children and friends to enter the peaceful rest that awaits the blessed. Her death makes vacant our home and in different churches to which she often went. But her sweet memory still lingers in our hearts and Heaven is more real to us to know that wife and mother is there. Her body is resting in the Silver leaf cemetary, the funeral service was conducted by Elder G.W. Johnson. Gone but not forgotten. Husband and children.
