Mrs. Tyson was a lifetime resident of Johnson County, a daughter of the late Johnny Stephens and Mrs. Susan Bass Stephens. She was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church and was married to the late Henry Green Tyson. Surviving are one son, M. C. Tyson, Meeks; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Odom, Wrightsville and Mrs. Iris Lord, Toombsboro' one brother, Artis Stephens, Milledgeville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at four o'clock Tuesday from Rehobeth Baptist Church with the Rev. A. W. Franklin and the Rev. H. A. Hiers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were C. M. Norris Jr., R. T. Brantley, Robert Webb, Palmer McGee, M. T. Riner Jr., and W. E.
