(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net January 5, 2011, 3:10 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 2-8-1985 Page 2 Mr. Tyson Services for Allen Jeff Tyson, 67, of 113 Sunset Drive, East Dublin, will be held at 2pm Saturday at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. J. T. McCain, the Rev. James Frost and the Rev. Douglas Bush will officiate. Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Johnson County, Mr. Tyson was the son of the late G. J. and Lincey Sammons Tyson, and a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. He was a disabled veteran of World War II, was retired from the General Services Administration, and was former building superintendent for the Macon and Dublin post offices. Mr. Tyson died Wednesday night in a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Eunice B. Tyson of East Dublin; a son, Joey Tyson of East Dublin; three sisters, Mary Croft of Brunswick and Jeffie Smith and Margie Darley, both of Macon; two brothers, Cody Tyson of East Dublin and William D. Tyson of Greenville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The body will be placed in the church at 1pm Saturday. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home. Additional Comments: A. J. was born 20 Jun 1917.
