                            A. Roy Tyson
 PORTSMOUTH--Allen Roy Tyson, 87, of Sherbrooke Road, Brentwood, died July 2, 
2006, in his home.
 Mr. Tyson, a native of Portsmouth, was retired from the Internal Revenue 
Service after 30 years of service, He was a member of the Cradock Baptist 
Church, a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Churchland American Legion 
Post 310, and was past commander of Cradock American Legion Post 328.
 Survivors include two sisters; Marjorie V. Tyson and Dana K. Tyson, both of 
Chesapeake; and cousins, Dr. Harold P. Hefner, Ann Weber, Patricia LaReau, 
Dana Cohn, Margie Tyson, Jeffie Tyson Smith, and Elton Thomas Jones.
 A funeral will be held at 11AM Thursday in Foster Funeral Home by Rev. Jim 
Woodland. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive 
friends one hour prior to service.

Additional Comments:
Allen was born 25 Feb 1919 to Allen Joshua Tyson and Adelaide Jones Tyson.
