(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net February 25, 2011, 8:13 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 1-29-1980 Mrs. Lois Scott Tyson Lois Scott Tyson, 47, of Rt. 6 Dublin, died Monday evening in a Macon hospital after an extended illness. Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, at Poplar Springs Methodist Church near Adrian. A native of Emanuel County, Mrs. Tyson was the daughter of the late Eligia Scott and Loney Peebles Scott. She was a member of Poplar Springs Methodist Church. She was a housewife and an employee of the Allen-Bradley Co. Survivors include her husband, Robert Tyson of Rt. 6 Dublin; two sons, Kelvin Tyson of McRae and Wendell Tyson of Statesboro; six sisters, Mrs. Tina Lou Sellars and Mrs. Shirley Gunn, both of Swainsboro, Mrs. Mary Alma Beasley and Mrs. Odell Beasley, both of Adrian, and Mrs. Wynie Tyson and Mrs. Joyce Douglas, both of Pembroke; two brothers, Luther Scott of Adrian and Jack Scott of Pooler, Ga.; and one grandchild, Scott Tyson. Officiating at the funeral will be the Rev. Frank Perry, the Rev. Griffin Thompson, and the Rev. Robert Hoffman. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in state at the Poplar Springs Church one hour before funeral time. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30pm today at the Townsend Chapel. Townsend Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Lois was born 14 Jul 1932.
