Folsom, bfolsomfamily@earthlink.net Johnson County, Georgia Will Book A, pages 15 and 16 NATHAN ROWLAND WILL In the name of God Amen I NATHAN ROWLAND being of sound and disposing mind in consideration of the uncertanity of life and the certanity of death deem it right and propper to make my last will and Testament which I do in the following manner Item 1st I request that my body be decently buried in a Christian like manner Item 2 I request that all my just debts be paid as soon as practicably after my death Item 3 To my beloved wife I will and bequeath all this tract of land upon which I now resid containing 200 two Hundred Acres also one adjoining tract with all the appertainances therto also all my Stock Horses, Hogs, cattle, Sheep with the exception of one cow and calf Item 4 To my beloved Daughter NANCY ROWLAND I give and bequeath one cow and calf Item 5 I do request that the tract of land upon which MRS. MARY ROWLAND now resides known as the Brock land be sold and the proceeds be equally divided between my oldest children namely JAMES S. ROWLAND, JUDAH OLIVER ROWLAND, REBECCA ROWLAND, ALEXANDRA ROWLAND, MARY MOORE, LYDIA JONES said tract of land is divided into two tracts one containing 444 Four Hundred and forty four and the other 137 One Hundred and thirty Seven Item 6 To my daughter ANN ELIZA ROWLAND and MARGARET ROWLAND I will and bequeath two tracts of land one containing 400 four Hundred Acres and the other 200 Two Hundred Acres Lying and being on the watters of Neals Creek both tracts to be equaly divided between Said two children Item 7 I do request that my two youngest children JULIA ANN ZONA ROWLAND and MARTHA ANN ROWLAND be raised on the land upon which I now live and at the death of my wife SARAH ROWLAND it be equaly divided between them Item 8 I do make my beloved friend Francis E. FLANDERS Executor of this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have set hereunto set my hand and Seal in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty and the nineteenth day of April G.W.W. Snell files for guardianship of Ann Eliza Rowland, Margaret Rowland, Julia Anna Zona, Martha Ann Rowland, minors of NATHAN ROWLAND, deceased (Washington County, Georgia Newspaper Clippings, Vol I, 1852-1866, page 269, by Tad Evans) Nathan Rowland's estate appraisement is recorded in the Johnson County Georgia Appraisement and Inventories, Book A, 1859-1887, pages 25 and 27. The men who signed as appraisers were: Noah Tison, G.W.W. Snell, J.T.
