Bible was destroyed when the Aretus Williams Hicks' home burned on December 17, 1920) Thomas Carson and his wife, Margaret McDowell Carson, and their seven children sailed from Newry, Ireland on June 30, 1773 to Abbeville District, South Carolina. Their children: William Carson Thomas Carson John Carson born May 24, 1760 Dublin, Irelan David Carson Adam Carson died in Jones Co, GA See Will Book A 1809-1864 Elizabeth Carson Joseph Carson John Carson (born May 24, 1760 Dublin, Ireland) married Isabella McGough born November 8, 1764. Their children: Thomas Carson born May 13, 1785 William Carson born August 26, 1787 Jane Carson born September 16, 1789 Isabella Carson born June 5, 1793 Pauline Carson born July 5, 1796 John Carson born July 2, 1799 Joseph Jefferson Carson born August 16, 1802 Robert Carson born May 5, 1806 John served in the Revolutionary War as a Minute Man in Colonel Elija Clarke's Company. He was given a land grant in Georgia at the end of the war. They moved to Jones County. His will (signed Feb 23, 1823) probated May 5, 1823 Will Book A 1809-1864 Jones County.
