Ga. where Mother Martha, brothers John,Jethro,Henry paid tax. 1799-He was not an adult when his Brother Henry brought action on estate. 1799 Brunswick Co. Va. Order Book #18 p 76 Feb. 26... Henry Jackson against John and Jethro Jackson Ex. of Mark Jackson dec'd, Martha Jackson widow of the said Mark Jackson and Wilkins, Mark, William, Warren, Edmund, Robert infants of the said Mark Jackson... Ephriam Jackson is by the Court appointed special Guardian to the infants to defend them in this suit which this day by concent docketed and heard upon the Bill andwer Exhitits and argument of Counsel on both sides on Consideration whereof it is decreed and ordered that Ephraim Jackson, Stephen Smith and Paul Hartwell or any two of them make sale of the land in the Bill mentioned for cash and convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers and make equal division of the money ensuing from such sale among the children of the said Mark Jackson and make report thereof to the Court in order to a final decree. 1799---Jun. 17..he was apparently an adult..as he is not appointed a guardian...as the younger ones were. 1803 Registration for the First Land Lottery of Ga...Hancock Co. Ass. of State-Wilkins Jackson Jones Co. 1817- From Genforum Hi looking for info on John P. Benton who m. 26 Feb. 1817 in Clinton, Jones county to Sophia Jackson. John P. served in the War of 1812 and appears on the 1820 census in Cpt. Rosser's district. Also Mordecai Benton who died 1810 in Jones County (wife Priscilla Pratt) (found insane in 1809) Augusta Chronicle 21 March 1807, page 3, column 3- Mordecai was accused of murder, found innocent and released. Butts, m. May 25, 1820 in Jones Co 1823 10 Nov Sally Jackson married Talbot Goare Jones Co. Ga. Probably kin? 1838 Nov. 22 Wilkins Jackson's will. Jones Co. Ga. My will is that my property is to be kept together until my estate is clear of debt. Also Nathaniel Raines and John Jackson. Martin Deadwilder and Andrew Douaghey wit. 1839 Mar 4. Wilkins Jackson - In open court this day personally came Martin Deadwilder and Andrew Doughey who being duly sworn say that they were present and saw Wilkins Jackson sign the foregoing instrument of writing as his last will and testament and that he was at the time of sound and disposing mind and memory ant that deponents, signed and said instrument as subscribing witness at the request of the testator and in his presence and in the presence of each other.
