I don't have much but will give you what I have. Mary and Isaac had ten children. William Samuel(br. abt 1821); Green M.(1823); Anderson T,(1824); James M.(1859);John T(1830); Ardecy M.(1833); Silas(1836); Sarah(1838); Burnetta (1840); Samuel C. 1842) This information came from www.familytreemaker.com/users/r/i/t/Larry-W- Ritter/GENE8-0002.html so I am dependent upon him for accuracy. Isaac's father Sims Middlebrooks married Elizabeth Talbert and had seven children(5 boys &2 girls) I only have the names of Isaac, Robert, Silas, John, Sarah and Bethiah but no dates. Sims father was a John Middlebrooks who came to Georgia from NC shortly after 1773. He and his wife Ann had 10 children all boys. Isaac and his brothers Silas and John owned land on Hog Creek near Samuel Cannon's property. (Williams: History of Jones County, p. 472) The Georgia Journal, (p. 674) says that Isaac received 208 acres on Beaverdam Creek, May 1, 1827 at a Sheriff's sale settled in his favor. The Southern Recorder(p.242)says that he was the administrator for his uncle John Middlebrooks Jr. and The General Index to Realty of Jones County(p.134)says that Samuel Cannon sold Isaac some Jones County land in March of 1833. They both died in Jones County. Some trivia: James Cannon married Sarah Middlebrooks, who was the daughter of Sims brother Robert. Sarah's mother was Nancy Talbert, the sister of Isaac's mother Elizabeth. I think that this made Sarah and Isaac double first cousins. James and Sarah had 14 children (9 boys, 5 daughters) and one their sons (Thomas Cannon)married his cousin Jane Middlebrooks, the daughter of Sarah's sister Bethiah. This may be one reason why the Jones County Middlebrooks family get so confusing. I suspect that because of the large number of sons, grandsons etc. that they are all related. By the way if anyone can find Samuel Cannon's parents and his wife Sarah's last name, I'll be eternally grateful. They are my brick wall. Best, John Cannon
