This cemetery is on the same land as the Old Sardis Cemetery in deep woods at the old homeplace of Franklin HOLLOMAN.. Land now owned by the Netherlands. Part of fence still standing and you can see ruins of old homeplace. Thirteen graves—only 3 are marked: Caroline Long HOLLOMAN, dau of Thomas LONG (NC) and Thersa Anne Elizabeth Sledge LONG b. 27 Jan 1842 d. 7 Mar 1918 Franklin HOLLOMAN b. 23 Jun 1831 d. 3 Jun 1917 son of David HOLLOMAN (1804-1859) and Sarah Branham HOLLOMAN (1804-1840) Joe Lee GORDON b. 14 Jul 1871 d. 28 Dec 1925 (1st husband of Carrie Holloman Gordon Bledsoe) The other 10 graves are unmarked but 7 recorded in Holloman Bible are as follows: Frances Morris HOLLOMAN 1830-1857 1st wife of Franklin HOLLOMAN Analiza dau. Of Franklin & Frances Morris HOLLOMAN b. 1854 d. 1857 Sarah Jane, dau of Franklin & Frances Morris HOLLOMAN b. Mar d. Jun 1857 Mamie Clevceland, dau of Franklin & Caroline Long HOLLOMAN 1886-1887 1st born of Rev. John F. HOLLOMAN & Leila McGhee HOLLOMAN d. 1889 Andrew L. HOLLOMAN, son of Franklin & Caroline HOLLOMAN 1873-1897 Stillborn 1872 of Frankin & Caroline HOLLOMAN NOTE: Three unmarked graves but thought to be parents of Caroline Long HOLLOMAN, Thomas J & Thersa Ann Elizabeth Sledge LONG. Also one may be May Frances HOLLOMAN, dau. Of Franklin and 1st wife Frances MORRIS. She married James Lawton HARRIS in 1870. Mary Frances was born 13 Feb 1853 and d. 1887. Have been unable to trace after her marriage in 1870. For a year they lived on Franklin HOLLOMAN land. Bible records her death in 1887. (Mrs. Corley told of her marriage, but did not now where she lived when she died—also did not know of any children she and James L. HARRIS might have had before 1887(.
