Finney Co Surveyor of Jones Co or to any other surveyor ~~~Greetings. You are hereby directed & authorized to make a survey of the real estate of Robert Lundy in this County claimed as a Homestead by Mrs. Easther Lundy his wife ~ and to admeasure set aside mark and plat out for her and her five minor children a Homestead of Realty under the Constitution of Georgia not to exceed in value the sum of Sixteen hundred dollars ~ That you make out a plat of the same and return it under oath to this Court by the 26th inst. showing the shape area and value of the same as required by law in such cases. Witnesseth my hand officially ~ Feby 1st 1887 ~ R.T. Ross Ordinary Jones Co Page 409 Georgia } To the Ordinary of Said County Jones County } I Robert Lundy of said County as the head of my family consisting of myself and two minor daughters ~ respectfully show that I am in the control & have the care and charge of said minors and they are dependent upon me for protection & support that the only property I and they have now & own is 250 acres of land as a Homestead in Jones County and that out of which we have to drive our support by working & cultivating the same & to occupy it as a home ~ and we have no means and no money with which to cultivate the same and it is absolutely necessary for us to raise some means or money to purchase provisions to live upon & to work said land ~ that One hundred dollars is necessary for the working of the land & to supply provisions & I ask such as the head of said family and pray the Court to grant me an Order to Mortgage & create a lien upon said land for that sum and for that purpose & petitioner will every pray &c ~~ Robert Lundy as head of my family Filed in Office March 9th 1896 T.R. Ross Ordinary Jones Court of Ordinary At Chambers March 9 1896 Upon considering this application audit appears to the Court that this is the only manner in which said applicant has to support his family ~ It is ordered that so far as there is any authority of this Court can extend that he be authorized to mortgage and create a lien upon said land for the purpose set out & for the amount specified & that the same be made a special lien for actual support for the family upon said land ~~ Witnesseth my hand officially R.T. Ross Ordinary 1897-1902 Page 118 Georgia } Jones County } To R. H. Bonner, Ordianry said Court The petition of A.T. Small shows that Robt Lundy late of said County departed this life in the Fall of 1897 leaving an estate of realty & personally of the value of about six hundred dollars ~ That there is no legal representation of said estate ~ That said petitioner is the largest creditor of said estate ~ That said estate should be administered upon for the purpose of collecting & paying the debts due to & owing by the said estate & for the purpose of making distributions thereof among the heirs of said deceased. Wherefore petitioner prays on order directing estate to assess and be published in terms of the law and that if no good cause be shown to the contrary the petitioner or some fit proper person be appointed permanent administrator of the estate of said deceased ~ with the will of said deceased attached if any such will there be ~ and petitioner will every pray &c Hardeman & Moore Petitioner’s Attys Georgia } Jones County } The above application read & considered and it is ordered that estate in issue in terms of the law ~ Witnesseth my hand officially this May 1st 1899 R.H. Bonner, Ordny ~ Recorded May 4th 1899 ~ R.H. Bonner Ordinary Georgia } Jones County} The Regular July Term of the Court or Ordinary of said County met this first Monday morning, July 3rd 1899 ~ pursuant to law ~ R.H. Bonner Ordnary Present Georgia } To the Ordinary of said County Jones County} The petition of W.W. Barron administrator Cum testamento annexo of the estate of Robt Lundy late of said County deceased showeth that there are debts due & said estate & creditors are demanding payment thereof ~ That said estate alone consists of some two hundred & forty acres of land more or less in said County & there is no personal property to pay said debts. Petitioner further shows that by the terms of the last will & testament of said deceased certain specific legacies are to be paid before distribution can be made thereof & that in order to pay expenses & debts as well as to pay the specific legacies it is necessary to sell said land. This being all of said estate remaining into his hands. Herefore he prays Citation may issue & published as required by law for the sail of said land & if no objections be filed to be granted leave to sell all the real estate of said deceased ~~ Hardeman & Morris Plts Attys Jones County Court of Ordinary July Term 1899 Above & foregoing application for sale of real estate read & considered & it appearing it is necessary to sell all the land belonging to the estate of Robt Lundy deceased for the purpose of paying debts & also for distribution among the heirs at law ~ it is ordered that citation to issue and be published as required by law and if no objection appears leave will be granted to sell same on the first Monday in August next. This 2nd July 1899 R.H. Bonner, Ordinary Recorded July 4th 1899 R.H. Bonner, Ordinary Page 250 Georgia } Jones County} The regular term of the Court of Ordinary for said County met this first Monday, May 7th 1900. R.H. Bonner Ordinary Georgia } Jones County} W.W. Barron administrator of the estate of Robert Lundy, late of said County deceased, respectfully shows to the Court of Ordinary of said County that he has faithfully discharged such trust and all duties ___upon him as such administrator to wit: having paid off all claims against said estate and having distributed all money in his hand to heirs of said estate for which he has their full and final receipt. And he asks that he be fully discharged from said administration ship ~ Feb 6th 1900 W.W. Barron, Admr. The above application read and considered. Ordered that notice of such application be published in terms of the law. This Feb 6th 1900. R.H. Bonner Ordinary Order of Dismission May Term 1900 of the Jones Court of Ordinary This petition coming on regularly to be heard and it appearing to the Court that citation in terms of the law has been issued and published in the Jones County News ~ and it further appearing upon a close examination into the condition of the estate and the conduct of said administrator that he has faithfully and honestly discharged the trust and confidence reposed in him ~ that it is ordered that the petition be granted and that he be released from all liability as administrator aforesaid ~ Let Letters of Dismission issue to him accordingly.
