Burden of the said State and the County of Jones of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said Chapman Barfield for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen dollars cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and doth by these presents remise, release and forever quit claim to an undivided half of lot of land number eighty three (83) in the sixth district of Baldwin County when surveyed but now Jones County containing twelve acres and a half (or being one eighth part of said undivided lot) with all the rights, members and appurtenances to said parcel of land or interest in any wise appertaining or belonging to the said Thomas L. Burden his heirs and assigns. To have and to hold the said part or interest unto the said Thomas L. Burden his heirs and assigns, so that neither I the said Chapman Barfield nor my heirs nor any other person or persons claiming under me or them shall at any time hereafter by any way or means have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or its appurtenances or any part thereof. In testimony whereof the said Chapman Barfield hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written. Chapman Barfield (L. S.)
