Georgia, Jones County
This Indenture made and entered into this Eleventh day of March Eighteen 
hundred and forty three, between Richard Barfield of the State and County of 
Monroe of the one part, and Thomas L. Burden of the said State and the County 
aforesaid of the other part,  Witnesseth, that the said Richard Barfield for 
and in consideration of the sum of fifteen dollars cash in hand paid, the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and doth by these presents release 
and forever quit claim a part of the lot of land number (83) eighty three in 
the sixth district formerly Baldwin but now Jones County, containing twelve 
and a half acres more or less, with all the rights, members and appurtenances 
to said part of the said lot of land in any wise appertaining or belonging to 
the said Thomas L. Burden his heirs and assigns.  To have and to hold the said 
premises unto the said Thomas L. Burden his heirs and assigns, so that I the 
said Richard Barfield nor my heirs nor any other person or persons claiming 
under me or them, shall at any time hereafter by any way or means, have, claim 
or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or its appurtenances or 
any part thereof.  In testimony whereof the said Richard Barfield have 
hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
