This Indenture made the 27th day of December in the year of our Lord One 
Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety five between Mrs. M. R. Barfield of the 
County of Jones of the one part and W. D. Cobb of the County of Wilkinson of 
the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Mrs. M. R. Barfield for and in 
consideration of Sixty eight dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing 
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has 
granted bargained sold aliened and conveyed and confirmed and by these 
presents does grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto said W. D. Cobb 
his heirs and assigns all of Twenty acres of land more or less lying in said 
County known as South half lot #146 in Sixth dist. of originally Baldwin now 
Jones County, Bounded west by W. R. Cobb north by William Fountain East by M. 
R. Barfield South by Jack Lavender.  To Have and to Hold the said bargained 
property with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto 
appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behoof of W. D. Cobb the said 
party of the first part [should be second part] his heirs executors 
administrators and assigns in Fee Simple and the said party of the first part 
the said bargained property unto the said W. D. Cobb his heirs executors 
administrators and assigns against the said M. R. Barfield her heirs executors 
and administrators and against all and every other person or persons shall & 
will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents.
In Witness Whereof the said M. R. Barfield has hereunto set her hand affixed 
her seal and delivered these presents the day and year first above written.
