Witnesseth that in and for the consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to me in hand paid by and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell all aliened to and confirmed unto the said James May his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns lot of land known by No. 174 being in the sixth district Baldwin now Jones County and also part of fractious No. 191 in the sixth of Baldwin now Jones County, beginning at a pine on the west side of Commissioners Creek & running thence S. 20 E. 35.50 to a stake, thence S. 80 W. 13 to a gum, thence S. 10 E. 20 to a redbay on the original line, thence N. 45 E. 43.73 to thence No. 11.35 W. 2.31 to a stake, thence N. 65 W. 42.28 to a stake, thence S. 45 up to pine near the creek then up the Creek to the beginning corner, which will be a small reserved part, which on the creek the line will be above high water mark, when laid out, Contain one hundred and sixteen acres more or less, which will more fully show by a reference being had to the copy plan, this together with all the timber on the lands except a small part in the fork of Creek and branch, that is reserved all will square twelve inches and over, nothing more, rights, members and appurttenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining thereunto to have and to hold the aforesaid bargained premises and every part hereof from the said Stephen Bivins, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns or any other person claiming or to claim the same in law unto said James May, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns against the said S. Bivins, his heirs, executors, administrators, assigns and every other person or persons fee Simple. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and date above written. S. May Georgia, Jones County Personally came before me Horatio May and after being duly sworn, deposeth and saith that he saw Stephen Bivins subscribe and deliv [sic] the above deed for its contents, and saw S.
