All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 March 12, 2007, 11:17 pm Part of Lot 192, Sixth District Written: February 27, 1841 Recorded: March 4, 1847 Jones County, Georgia Deed Book R, pages 130-131 Georgia, Jones County This Indenture made this the twenty seventh day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty one, between Lemons Box of the county of Randolph and State aforesaid of the one part, and James May of the County of Jones and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said Lemons Box for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifteen dollars in hand paid at and before the signing, sealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said James May his heirs and assigns all and singular that part of fraction Lot one hundred and ninety two, whereon Jacobb now lives, situate, lying and being in the County of Jones and State of Georgia on the waters of Commissioners Creek, containing fifty acres more or less, in the sixth district of Baldwin when surveyed now Jones County, joining James May on the East and North lines and Benjamin Wilkerson on the South line. To have and to hold the said bargained premises, together with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereof or in any wise appertaining to the premises, to the said James May his heirs and assigns to their own proper use, benefit and behoof in fee Simple, and the said Lemons Box his heirs and assigns the said premises will warrant and forever defend against themselves and all and every other person or persons whatever. In witness whereof the said Lemons Box hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written. Lemons Box (L.S.) In presence of Horatio May John Barfield Georgia, Jones County Personally came before me Horatio May and after being duly sworn deposeth and saith that he saw Lemons Box subscribe the within deed, and saw John Barfield sign it as a witness and also assigned the same as witness himself.
