Smith, John Martin, Sterling Lanier, John King and Pleasant Philips as commissioners of the said Count and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George Broach for and in consideration of the sum of ten dollars to him in hand paid on or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold conveyed and do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Sterling W. Smith, John Martin, Sterling Lanier, John King and Pleasant Philips as commissioners and their successors in said neighborhood all that tract or parcel of land whereon Antioch Meeting House now stands containg one and a half acres of land agreeable to the boundaries thereof. Beginning at a white oak post on the north west side of the road and running south sixty four degrees east twelve and one half poles to the fence to a red oak corner, thence north forty four degrees east with said Broache's fence to a post oak stump or log sixteen and one quarter poles, thence north thirty six degrees west fifteen and one half poles to a red oak post on the north west side of the road, thence to the beginning twenty and one half poles. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto the said Sterling W. Smith, John Martin, Sterling Lanier, John King and Pleasant Philips and their successors in said neighborhood, together with all and singular the rights members, and appurtenances thereof to the said land in any manner belonging to their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said George Broach for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators the said bargained premises and any part thereof unto the said Sterling W. Smith, John Martin, Sterling Lanier, John King and Pleasant Philips as commissioners and their successors in said neighborhood, will warrant and forever defend the rights and titles thereof against themselves and against the lawful claims of all other person or persons whatsover. In witness wherof I the said George Broach hath hereunto set my hand and affix my seal the day and year first above mentioned. And it is understood that in making this my deed to said tract or parcel of land it is for the purpose of building a Meeting House and School House upon said land for the benefit of said neighborhood.
