Witnesseth that the said John Martin for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand dollars to him in hand paid by the said George Broach at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and do by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell & confirm unto the said George Broach, his heirs and assigns all the following tract or lots or parts of lots of land viz: All the lands that I own or ever did own that I have not heretofore conveyed adjoining A. Hunt, John Beasley, John King, Charles Brooks, William Moreland and Purnel & Spencer Owens, the above named land lying and being in Jones County on the waters of Walnut Creek and the land whereon George Broach now lives. To have and hold the aforesaid described land together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to hold unto the said George Broach, his heirs and assigns to their own proper use and behoof the said George Broach, himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, the said tracts or parts of tracts of land and premises and every part thereof unto the said George Broach, his heirs and assigns against the said John Martin his heirs, executors, administrators and will warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever laying any lawful right or claim thereunto. In witness whereof I, the said John Martin, hath hereunto set my hand and seal this the day and year above written. Signed, Sealed and delivered /s/ Jno. Martin {Seal} in the presence of Test: Spencer Owens John Broach Georgia, Jones County Personally came before me Spencer Owens, who being duly sworn, deposeth and saith that John Martin acknowledged before him to be his signature to the within deed and delivered the same for the purposes therein mentioned and that the deponent subscribed the same as a witness and saw John Broach do so likewise.
