Witnesseth that in pursuance of the terms of the last will and testament of said George Broach deceased and by virtue of an order of the Honorable the Ordinary of Jones County passed at the March term 1852 of said Court and for the consideration of three thousand dollars (3000.00) dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain, sell and convey unto the said Alexander Hamilton Broach his heirs and assigns seven Negroes to wit: Caroline a woman of dark complexion about thirty four years old and her five children to wit: Peter, a boy about fourteen (14) years old, Henry a boy about ten years old, Jane a girl about eight years old, Milly a girl about three years old, Elizabeth a girl about one year old all of dark complexion, also Jack a man about thirty three (33) years old of copper complexion. To have and to hold said seven Negroes to said Alexander H. Broach his heirs and assigns forever and the said Rachel Broach covenants that she has full power to sell and convey the same and warrants the title to said Alexander H. Broach as far as her office of Executrix will authorize her against all claims whatsoever and not to be liable only on her representative character as Executrix as aforesaid. Recorded the 14th day of May 1852, Elbert Hutchings, Clk. Georgia Bibb County For Value received we and each of us release assign and quit claims to Alexander H. Broach all our right, title and interest in or to the above and annexed seven Negroes conveyed to Alexander H. Broach and by the annex and foregoing deed.
