Witnesseth that in pursuance of the terms of the last will and testament of said George Broach, dec'd and by virtue of an order of the Honorable Ordinary of Jones County passed at the March Term 1852 of said Court and for the consideration of three thousand dollars in hand paid (3000) the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain sell and convey unto the said Calvin Broach his heirs and assigns seven negroes to wit: Mary a woman about twenty eight year old of dark complextion and her five children to wit: Joe a boy about eight year old, Rachael about seven years old (a girl), Emma about five years old (a girl) Julia about three years old (a girl), George about six months old (a boy). Also Frankey a girl about twelve years old, the former all of copper color the latter of dark. To have and to hold said seven Negroes to said Calvin Broach his heirs and assigns forever and the said Rachael Broach consents with said Calvin Broach that she has full power to sell and convey the same and warrants the title of said Calvin Broach so far as her office of Executrix will authorize her against all claims whatever and not to be liable on her own representative character as Executrix as aforesaid. In witness whereof the said Rachael Broach Executrix as aforesaid hath hereunto set her hand and seal. In presence of /s/ R. Broach M. Tucker Thomas P. Stubbs, Not. Pub. Georgia Bibb County, For value received we and each of us release assign and quit claim to Calvin Broach all our right title and interest in and to the above and annexed seven Negroes conveyed to Calvin Broach by the annexed and foregoing deed.
