Morris Bibb County The George Broach Place - 300 Acres Book T, Page 56 September 25, 1869 This indenture made the twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty nine and in the 94th year of the Independence of the United States of America between Robert A. Morris of the County of Bibb of the one part and Alexander H. Broach of the County of Jones of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Robert A. Morris for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has by these presents granted, sold, assigned, conveyed and confirmed unto the said Alexander H. Broach his heirs and assigns all that settlement of land known as the Broach place and adjoining lands of Jno Hunt, Lewis Lane & Jackson Roberts situate in the County of Jones in said State and containing three hundred acres more or less it being the place that George Broach occupied in his life time and bound on the south by the road leading from Macon to Clinton. To have and to hold the said settlement of land with all the rights and appurtenances thereto appertaining to the only proper use and benefit of him the said Alexander H. Broach, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in fee simple - and the said Robert A. Morris the said bargained settlement of land unto the said Alexander H. Broach, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against the said Robert A. Morris his heirs, executors and administrators will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said Robert A. Morris hath hereunto set his hand, affixed his seal and delivered these presents the day of & year above written.
