All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 February 7, 2007, 10:59 pm Lot 25, Eighth District Written: April 11, 1810 Recorded: March 8, 1811 Jones County, Georgia Deed Book B, pages 38-39 Georgia This Indenture made this eleventh day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and ten between Philip Catching of the County of Jones, and State aforesaid of the one part, and Lewis May of the County of Baldwin and State aforesaid of the other part; Witnesseth that the said Phillip Catching for and in consideration of the Sum of twelve hundred dollars to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and Sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, Sell, release and confirm unto the said Lewis May his heirs and assigns forever, all that Tract, lot, or parcel of land, containing two hundred two and one half acres, more or less, Situate lying and being in the Eighth District of Baldwin County, now Jones County, in the said State which said Tract or lot of land is known and distinguished in the plan of the said District by the number Twenty five, having such shapes, forms and marks as appear by a plat of the same annexed to the Original Grant. To have and to hold the said Tract or lot of land together with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever, unto the said Lewis May, his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever, in fee simple and the said Phillip Catching doth for himself, his heirs and assigns warrant and forever defend the said lot or parcel of land against the claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal the day & year first above written, and in the thirty fourth year of the Independence of America.
