Jones COUNTY GA Deeds - Land District 13 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by vickipw@gmail.com George H. Watkins http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/jones/land/distr13.txt This is an extensive study of specific Land Lots within District 13. It traces ownership of the land from the beginning Lottery Draw to well into the 1990's. District 13 - Jones County Interpreting the information: In 1807, John Bohannon, Jr. drew in the land lottery and as a winner received Land Lot 48 of Land District 13. In 1809, John Bohannon sells to John Smith this same land. It contained 202 1/2 acres and the deed is in Deed Book D page 155. Following on down, you will see where smaller portions of the land, i.e. 55 acres are sold. When available TAX LISTS were also used. These can be supplements to Deeds. Compare the neighboring Land Districts and Land Lots to understand the relationship. =================== LL 10 District 13 Jones & Jasper County Lays mostly in Jasper Co.
