State of Georgia
This indenture made this second day of March one thousand
eight hundred and eight between Asa Doggett of Columbia
County and State aforesaid of one part, and John Doggett
of the County and State aforesaid of the other part ~

Witnesseth that the said Asa Doggett for and in
consideration of the sum of two thousand dollars good and
lawful money of the State to him in hand well and truly
paid by the said John Doggett at or before the sealing &
delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, released &
confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain,
sell, release & confirm unto the said John Doggett, his
heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land
containing two hundred two and one half acres more or
less, originally granted to Asa Doggett on the twenty
eight day of October one thousand eight hundred and seven
in Baldwin County, now Jones County, situate lying and
being on the waters of Commissioner’s Creek known by lot
No. one hundred and twenty eight adjoining north by lot
No. 137 ~ North east by lot No. 129 and North west by lot
No. 127 ~ together with all and singular the rights
members & appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said
tract of land being belonging or in any wise appertaining
and the remainders ,revisions, rents, issues & profits
thereof & every part thereof to have and to hold the said
tract of land & all & singular the premises and
appurtenances thereunto belonging as aforesaid and every
part thereof unto the said John Doggett, his heirs and
assigns forever, and the said Asa Doggett & his heirs  &
assigns the tract of land & premises aforesaid and every
part thereof unto the said John Doggett his heirs &
