Witnesseth that the said Samuel Feagin Sheriff as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty dollars to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Harrison Smith the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and by these presents (and by virtue of the Powers in him vested as Sheriff aforesaid, and of an Execution issuing from the Superior Court of the County of Baldwin dated the seventh day of September 1807 whereas Thomas Pinkards Plaintiff and William Fitzpatrick Defendant) doth grant, bargain, and sell unto the said Harrison Smith a certain tract or lot of land situate lying and being in the 12th district of Baldwin when survey held, now the County of Jones known in the plan of said District by lot number one hundred and eighty five containing two hundred two and one half acres more or less and this day sold at Publick sale or out cry under the aforesaid execution after due and legal notice being given, and the said Harrison Smith being the highest and best bidder the same was struck off to him at the sum of one hundred and sixty dollars as aforesaid. To have and to hold the said tract or lot of land with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, unto the said Harrison Smith heirs and assigns in as full and ample a manner as the same was held by the said William Fitzpatrick ~ In witness whereof the said Samuel Feagin Sheriff as aforesaid hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
