All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 March 14, 2007, 9:20 pm Lots 101, 102 & 107, Sixth District Written: December 10, 1834 Recorded: December 12, 1834 Jones County, Georgia Deed Book P, pages 269-270 Georgia Jones County This Indenture made the tenth day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty four and in the fifty ninth year of the Independence of the United States of America, between James Huckabay of the county of Lee of the one part, and Peter Clower of the county of Jones of the [other] part; Witnesseth that the Said James Huckabay for and in consideration of the sum of Two thousand four hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said Peter Clower his heirs and assigns. All these three certain tracts or parcels of Land, containing two hundred two and a half acres each more or less, making in all Six Hundred, seven and one half acres more or less, situate lying and being in the county of Jones, but at the time of Survey in the county of Originally Baldwin and the sixth district thereof, known and distinguished in the plan of said district as Lots number, One hundred and two, One hundred and one, and One hundred and Seven, being the same granted as follows, Number One hundred and one to Thomas Richardson of Columbia County on the fifteenth day of December 1808; Number One hundred and two to Daniel Thurmon of Green County on the twentieth day of December 1808, and Number One hundred and seven granted Eliza Whatley of Oglethorpe county, all of the State aforesaid, the last aforesaid grant dated on the fourteenth day of December 1807, adjoining Lands of Cole and Slocumb and bounded as will appear by reference to the grants aforesaid herewith delivered. To have and to hold the said Three tracts or parcels of Land with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the tracts of Land being belonging or in any wise appertaining, with the remainder and remainders, reversion and reversions, rents, issues and profits thereof to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him the said Peter Clower, his heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee Simple, and the said James Huckabay his heirs, executors and administrators, the said bargained premises and appurtenances unto the said Peter Clower, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, against the said James Huckabay his heirs executors administrators and all and every other person or persons, shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents.
