Furlow who married his daughter Charlotte Mary, and Edward T. Taylor who married his daughter Harriett Susan of the other part - Witnesseth that the said Samuel Lowther for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and doth bear for his said Son and sons in law and their said wives, and by way of advancement and marriage portion, hath given and granted and by these presents doth freely give and grant unto the said William Lowther Timothy M. Furlow and Edward T. Taylor their heirs and assigns one undivided fourth part each of the following described real and personal estate (estimated at fifty six thousand six hundred and sixty four dollars) towit, all that tract or parcel of land situate in said County on Shoal Creek Cedar Creek and Hog Creek, known as his Cedar Creek place, including all the lands which he purchased from Benjamin T. Lowe, Henry H. Lumpkin and Ezekiel B. Smith admr of Charles Wornum decd as described in their respective deeds to him adjoining lands of Wilkins Jackson Alexander Oden, Jeremiah Dumas, Francis Tufts and others containing eighteen & seventy seven acres more or less - Fifty three negroes, to wit, Isaac, Judy, Daniel, Stephen, Bobb, Jim, Mary Ann, Patsey, Martha, Henry, Oscar, Matilda, Isabella, Big Bobb, Charlotte, Big Daniel, George Pompey, Rebecca, Grace, Edmond, Roxey, Cealy, John, Fanny, Frederick, Betsey Ann, Virginia, Lavinia, Solomon, Randall, Big John, Silvey, Henry Tyus, Frank, Mary, Clary, Yellow Mary, Robin, Anne, Alvan, Dan, Billy Eady, Willis, Jim Henry, Nancy, Westly, Emily, Jinney, Hall, Silvey and Harper - Fifteen Hundred bushels of corn - Twelve thousand pounds of Fodder - Five thousand pounds of oats - one road waggon and six pair of Harness, one do and four pair of Harness. Two ox carts, carry by and log chains - Thrasher, cotton Gin - Plantation tools - Two hundred and thirty six bushels of seed oats - Seventy five bushels of seed peas - Thirteen Mules - one Sorrel Mare - Blacksmith Tools, and lot of Iron - Two hundred and thirty six head of Stock Hogs - Forty sheep - Forty stock cattle, seven oxen, and ten thousand five hundred pounds of pork - To have and to hold the one individual fourth part each of said real and personal property unto the said, William Lowther, Timothy M. Furlow, and Edward T. Taylor their heirs and assigns forever in fee simple - And the said Saml Lowther for and in consideration of the sum of Fourteen thousand one hundred and sixty six dollars secured by note signed by the said William Lowther and Edward T. Taylor payable to Alexander Allen Lowther, his youngest son and him only on the day he will be twenty one years old, and that they board clothe and educate him in the mean time in a manner and State suitable to his rank and condition, do grant, bargain & sell and by these presents hath granted, bargained, sold aliened , conveyed and confirmed untothe said William Lowther and Edward T. Taylor their heirs and assigns the remaining undivided one fourth part of all the real and personal property above named - To have and to hold the said undivided one fourth part of said real and personal property above described unto the said William Lowther and Edward T. Taylor their heirs and assigns forever in fee simple - The whole to be managed and divided by and between the said William Lowther, Timothy M. Furlow and Edward T. Taylor according tothe respective interest vested in them by these presents at any time and in any manner they may agree upon - And the said Saml Lowther doth by these presents warrant and will forever defend the right and title to said real and personal property free from the claim or claims of himself and all others claiming under him ----- In testimony whereof the said Saml.
