Humphries of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Robert Lundy of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Thomas S. Humphries for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and does by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Robert Lundy his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Jones and described as follows to wit commencing first at the original line between the said Humphries and said Lundy some thirty or forty yards from the branch thence running nearly due west from east to a dead sweet gum tree at or near the run of the branch thence the run of the branch up to the original line to the commencement containing two acres of land more or less and including the fence on the bargained premises and further known as a part of what is commonly called the Harris lot of land with all the rights numbers and appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the afore described lot of land unto him the said Robert Lundy his heirs and assigns together with all the rights members and appurtenances to the said lot or parcel of land in any wise belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Thomas S. Humphries for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises together with the rights title and possession thereof unto the said Robert Lundy his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatsoever.
