Witnesseth that the said Obadiah Fields for and in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the said John Martin his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land in the County aforesaid and known in the plan of said survey by lot No. One hundred and four being the south half of said lot adjoining the aforesaid John Martin and part of lot No. One hundred and five in all containing One hundred and thirty one and one fourth acres bounded by lands of said John Martin, Sterling Lanier, Adam Robertson, James Berry, Allen Caldwell and Pleasant Phillips. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land being belonging or in any wise appertaining unto all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever unto the remainder and remainders, reversion & reversions rents issues and profits hereof to the only use benefit and behoof of him the said John Martin his heirs Executors administrators and assigns in fee simple & the said Obadiah Fields for himself his heirs & assigns the said bargained property unto to the said John Martin his heirs and assigns against the said Obadiah Fields his heirs and assigns and all and every other person or person whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend to by virtue of these presents In witness whereof the said Obadiah Fields hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above written. Witnesseth that the said James Berry and Allen Caldwell for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred fifty dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained, sold aliened conveyed & confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien convey & confirm unto the said Obadiah Fields his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land in said County of Jones and known in the plan of said survey by lot No. One hundred four being the south half of said lot adjoining John Martin and part of lot No. One hundred five in all containing One hundred thirty one and a fourth acres & bounded as follows by John Martin and Sterling Lanier on the one side, Adam Robertson on another the land of said Perry & Caldwell on another and Dr. Pleasant Philips on the other. To have unto the said tract or parcel of land being belonging or in any wise appertaining with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever with the remainder and remainders reversion & reversions rents issues and profits thereof to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said Obadiah Fields his heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple and the said James Berry and Allen Caldwell for themselves their heirs executors and administrators the said bargained property unto the said Obadiah Fields his heirs executors administrators and assigns against the said James Berry and Allen Caldwell their heirs executors and administrators and all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said James Berry and Allen Caldwell hath hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals the day and year first above written. his mark Allen Caldwell {L.S.)
