May of the County and State aforesaid of the one part, and Horatio May of the same place of the other part, Witnesseth, that said Levi P. May for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and does by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Horatio May his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the sixth district originally Baldwin now Jones County, known and distinguished in the plan of said District, by the South East part of fraction No. 191 containing one hundred and sixteen acres more or less, and the North west part of Lot No. 174 containing Eighty four acres more or less, adjoining lands of Stephen Bivins and others with all the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the aforedescribed tracts or parcels of land unto him the said Horatio May his heirs and assigns, together with all the rights, members and appurtenances to the said tract or parcel of land in any wise belonging, to his and their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Levi P. May for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators the said bargained premises, together with the right, title and possession thereof unto the said Horatio May his heirs and assigns, will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever. In testimony whereof the said Levi P. May hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written. Levi P. May (L. S.)
