Roberts of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that said Horatio May for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven hundred and fifty Eight dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Granted bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these presents bargain sell and convey unto the said James Lafayette Roberts his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the first district of the County of Baldwin and now Jones County known and distinguished in the plan of said district by a part of lot number eight and a part of fraction number three in the whole aggregate containing two hundred and two and a half acres more or less bounded on the West by a fraction line and on the north by a cross fence and on East Baldwin line and on the South by a land line with all the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the afore described lot or parcel of land unto him the said James L. Roberts his heirs and assigns together with all rights members and appurtenances to the said lot or parcel of land in any wise belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Horatio May for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises together with the right title and possessions thereof unto the said James L. Roberts his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever. In testimony whereof the [said] Horatio May hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written. Horatio May (L. S.)
