Witnesseth, that the said Horatio May doth for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and convey, unto the said John Barfield his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of Land, lying, situate and being in the County of aforesaid, known and distinguished by being one hundred and ninety eight acres of fraction No. 191 one hundred and ninety one, in the Sixth district of originally Baldwin now Jones County, also the north West part of lot No. 174 one hundred and Seventy four, containing eighty four acres more or less. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land, unto the said John Barfield his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights, members, reversions, rents, profits and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging or being to their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Horatio May for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises and lands unto the said John Barfield his heirs executors, administrators and assigns, will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves, and against the claim of all and every other person or persons whomsoever.
