Witnesseth that the said Samaria May, for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred Dollars in hand paid, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, Bargained, Sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain sell and Convey unto the said Horatio May his Heirs and assigns, All that Tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the Sixth district of the county of Baldwin at the time of Survey, now Jones County, it being said S. May’s interest in Mrs. Nancy May’s Dower, due at her death, Known and distinguished in the plan of said District by a part of Fraction No. 192 and a part of lot No. 174 Known as the Cobb and Wadsworth place, being twenty acres more or less, and a part of Fraction No. 193 Known as the Davis place, and a part of lot No. 172 Known as the Elijah Mathis place, where Mrs. Nancy May lives, it being and [sic] eighth part of four hundred and three [crossed out] 3-¾ acres, thirty 30 acres at the last named place in all fifty acres more or less. To have and to hold said Tract or parcel of land, unto him the said Horatio May, his Heirs and assigns, together with all and singular, the rights, members, reversion, rents, proffits [sic], and appurtenances thereof, to the same in any manner belonging to them and their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever in fee Simple. And the said Samaria May, for his Heirs Executors and Administrators, the said bargained premises unto the said Horatio May, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and assigns, will warrant and forever defend the right and the title thereof against themselves, and against the claim of all and every other person or persons whomsoever. In witness whereof the said Samaria May hath hereunto set his hand and seal, the day and year above written. Samaria May (L.S.) Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of O. H. P. May, who being duly sworn, deposeth and saith, that he saw Samaria May sign, seal and deliver the within Deed, for the purposes therein mentioned, and that he the deponent, subscribed as witness and saw Griffin Miller do so likewise.
