Witnesseth that for and In consideration of the Sum of Twenty five Hundred Dollars in hand paid by the said [Elijah Tarver, the] receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath Granted, Bargained, Sold Aliened conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents doth Grant Bargain Sell Allien Convey and Confirm unto the said Elijah Tarver his Heirs and assigns forever all that lot or parcel of land Containing Two hundred Two and One Half acres Situate lying and being in the Eleventh District of Originally Baldwin now Jones County - Known in the plan of said district by lot number Twenty five (No. 25) Together with a parcel of land Containing Twelve and one Half and Sixteen Rods being part of Lot Number Twenty four No. (24) in the district aforesaid Beginning at a Stake corner on the district line running South 45 E on the Original line Twenty One chains to a Stake corner thence North forty (45) E Six chains to Stake corner on the creek, thence north 45 W Twenty One Chains to a Stake corner on the District line, thence South forty 45 W Six Chains to the Beginning corner. Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the Said lots of land for the only proper use and Benefit of him the said Elijah Tarver his heirs and assigns forever in fee Simple Said Lewis May Warranting and Defending the above tracts of land mentioned Tracts of Land against the claim or Claims of all and Every other person or persons Whatsoever. In Witness whereof the Said lewis may hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day and date above Mentioned. Lewis May Signed Sealed and Deliver in the presence of Test - Samuel Cook Hartwell Tarver Elisha Tarver Georgia Jones County Before me Personally appeared Elisha Tarver and who being Duly Sworn Saith that he was present and Saw lewis May deliver the within deed To the within named Elijah Tarver and acknowledged the Execution thereof and that he also saw Samuel Cook and Hartwell Tarver Subscribing their names as other witnesses with himself to the Same.
