Witnesseth that the said Harrison Smith for the inconsideration (sic) of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said James Mullins the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and by these presents do bargain sell alien and convey unto the said James Mullins his heirs and assigns all that part or parcel of land lying in the Twelfth District of Baldwin now Jones County it being one half lot No. One hundred and Eighty Five and the North part adjoining Gremly P. Thompson the other half of said square. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto him the said James Mullins his heirs Executors and Administrators or assigns and I the said Harrison Smith will warrant the right and title from the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever for ever unto the said Mullins his heirs &c. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written.
