Witnesseth that the said Justices acting as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & ten dollars to them in hand well & truly paid by the said Levin Sockwell at or before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained sold released & confirmed & by these presents do grant bargain sell release & confirm unto the said Levin Sockwell his heirs & assigns all that lot of land in the town aforesaid known in the plan of said town by number thirty four (No. 34) containing one half acre together with all & singular the rights members & appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said lot of land being belonging or in any wise appertaining and the remainders reversions rents issues and profits thereof & every part thereof. To have & to hold the said lot of land & all & singular the premises & appurtenances thereunto belonging as aforesaid & every part thereof unto the said Levin Sockwell his heirs & assigns to the only proper use benefit & behoof of the said Levin Sockwell his heirs & assigns forever and the said Justices acting as Commissioners aforesaid for themselves & their successors in office the said lot of land & premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Levin Sockwell his heirs & assigns against them the said Justices noting as aforesaid & their successors & against all and every other person or persons whomever shall & will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
