Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars well and truly paid unto the said Levin Sockwell by the said Daniel Shaw at and before sealing and delivery of these presents the said Levin Sockwell has granted bargained sold and delivered and by these presents do grant bargain sell and deliver unto the said Daniel Shaw his heirs and assigns all that tract piece or lott of land in the town of Clinton known and distinguished in the plan of said town by lott number thirty four containing one half acre together with all and singular the rights members thereof whatsoever belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Daniel Shaw and the said Levin Sockwell doth bind himself his heirs executors administrators or assigns to warrant and forever defend the right title interest and claim of the above described lot or premises unto the said Daniel Shaw his heirs executors administrators or assigns forever free from the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming the same.
