Wells Jan 2 '27 State of Georgia Jones County } Whareas in obedience to a writ of fire facias issued out of the Superior Court of the County of Jones at the writ of Daniel Roper against Kinchen P. Tison defendant & James Banchley? security Hope H. Statten Sheriff of the County aforesaid, did lately seize the tract or lot of land hereinafter described as the property of the said Kinchen P. Tison & after being duly & puplicily advertised agreeable to law did on the second day of January in the yeare eighteen hundred twenty seven at the place of public sales in the said County of Jones expose the same at Public outcry when Thomas Thweatt being the highest bidder the same was knocked off to him the said Thomas Thweatt at the price or sum of five hundred Dollaars Now this indenture made the second day of January in the yeare of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty Sevan &in the fifty first yeare of the Independance of the United States of America be ta?_? an the said Hope H. Statte? Sheriff as aforesaid of the one part &the said Thomas Thweatt of said County of the Other part, witnesseth that the said Hope H. Statter Sheriff as aforesaid for & in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars aforesaid to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Thweatt at &before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whareof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained &Sold &by these presents doth grant bargain &Sell so far as the office of Sheriff authorizes him unto the said Thomas Thweatt his heirs & assigns all that tract or lot of land known & distingushed by lot Number fifty two in the in the ninth destrict of Orginally Baldwin now Jones County containing one hundred acres more or less being half of the above Said lot of Land in possession of said Thomas Thweatt when ?Sevied? on together with all & Singular the rights members & appertinances thareof unto the Said tract or lot of land being belonging or in any win appertaining; also all the estate right title interest property Claim & demand of the said Kincen P. Tison in law Equity or other wise whatsoever off in or to the same To have &to hold the Said tract or lot of land & the promises & way part thareof unto the Said Thomas Thweatt his heirs & assigns(crossed thru': forever in fee Simple) to the only proper on benefit & behooff? of the Said Thomas Thweatt his heirs & assigns in fee Simple in as full & as ample a manner as the Said Kinchen P. Tison or his heirs or assigns might have held &enjoyed the same had it not been seized & Sold under the Execution aforesaid In Witness Whare of the Said Hope H.
