This deed made and entered into this Eighteenth day of
November Eighteen hundred & sixteen between James K.T.
Walton of the County of Oglethorpe & State aforesaid of
the one part and Harrison Smith of the County of Jones
and State aforesaid of the other part.

Witnesseth that I the said James K. T. Walton for and in
consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to me in
hand paid by the said Smith the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened and
conveyed and by these presents doth bargain sell alien &
convey unto the said Harrison Smith his heirs & assigns
all that tract or lot of land lying & being in the Town
of Clinton in the Sate and County aforesaid known &
distinguished in the plan of said Town by lot number
forty five (45) containing one half acre together with
all and singular the houses thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining to have and to hold the said lot of
land & every part thereof unto the said Harrison Smith
his heirs Execr. &c in fee simple and I the said James
K.T. Walton do & will warrant the said bargained premises
from the claim or claims of all person or persons
whatsoever unto the said Harrison Smith his heirs and
assigns forever.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affix my seal the day & year first above written.
