I am in tolerable good health at present and hope that these few lines may find you and mother both and all my sistes injoying the same God's blessing. But I have lost my husband and my child. Tha bothe died last winter and I am left alone heare. I am living by myself. I have got Jo yet, he does cary on my farm for me and I am quite alone heare.. I would give the world to see you and if I was able to come I would come to see you but I can't quit here and if you do intend to help me now I do stand in need of it. I have six grandchildren that nicey left when she died. Henry is single yet, he lives about one hundred miles from me at his fathers house and he has got the children with him at this time but I am going to go and get some of them to come and stay with me in this fall and winter. Henry drinks so bad that he is no satisfaction to me and if you can help me now is the time I need it. Come and see me if you pleas and help me if you ever intend to do it for I stand nead of it now if I ever shall. Now I will tell you something abot the contray. It is very good contrey for cotton and corn and sweat potatoes. The paraies grow very good wheat. Hogs do very well. I am living in timber land 20 miles from the river. And it is a very good contray for cattle. Cows keepfat winter and summer, it is very good range hear, Fruit does tolerable well hears. Peaches does very well hear. Apels don't do as well as peaches. Figs does very well. Give my love to Mr. Johnson and his wife and all the rest of them. Tell them that I would be very glad to see them all if I could and if they will com out heare I do think tha would like this contrey out heare and it would be a great satisfaction to me to see them out heare. Nancy Hutton I went to arkansaw last winter and saw sister Peggy . She is married again. She has a very sickly husband. James is living heare in texas but he is not living with me.
