Smith have this opened, superintended and managed an election at the Courthouse in said county for a Captain, a first Lieutenant, a second Lieutenant and an Ensign to command the drafted quota of Militia detached heretofore from both said Reigments in said county to enter the service of the United States, pursuant to orders of his Excellency the Governor of Georgia dated 17th day of the month at which election, Robert V. If it should meet the approbation of your Excellency We would be pleased to procure your order for such number of Muskets as will be necessary to place a mustket in the hand of Each man that will march on Thursday next from this county.
