E. Bazemore Deputy Sheriff of Taylor County Succimb to Acute Brights Late Monday Night Coming as a dictintly sad shock to many friends and relatives in Butler and throughout the county was the sudden death of Mr. William Eugene Bazemore, which occurred at his home in Butler about 12 o'clock Monday night. He was thought to be recuperating from an attack of Brights from which he had been suffering for several weeks and was out riding during the day Monday. To inquiring friends he stated that he was feeling much better before returning home late in the afternoon. He rested well during the early part of the night but as the midnight hour approached a sudden change in his condition was noted bu his family who immediately summoned two physicians and despite a hard fight to save his life Mr. Bazemore succumbed shortly after the arrival of his physicians. Mr. Bazemore, who was the some of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Bzemore, deceased, was born and reared in Jones County and moved with his parents to Taylore county several years ago. He was 53 years of age December 14th last and is survived by his widow, four brothers, Messrs. C. E. of Chipley; T. N. of Agateville; O. M. and C. W. Bazemore of this county; and one sister, Mrs. J. R. Baldwin of Durand. The following children also survive him: Messrs. E. H. of Barnesville; Gordon of Gordon Ga; Homer, C. W. Jr., and Riley Bazemore of Butler; Mrs. B. W. Smith of Thomaston; Misses Christine and Myrtle Bazemore, of Butler. After residing in Wesley community for a number of years Mr. Bazemore moved to Butler about one year ago and was soon thereafter appointed Deputy Sheriff of Taylor Countyby Sheriff R. P. McGuffin, which office he held at the time of his death. Mr. Bazemore was a quiet citizen and a good man, kind-hearted and friendly to all. For many years he had been a consistent member of Antioch Baptist Church and took a delight in its service. As a citizen and official of the county he will be greatly missed. Funeral services were conducted at Antioch church yesterday afternoon at three o'clock by Revs J.T. Adams and M. T. Gauntley. The floral offerrings from officials of the county, relatives and many friends were lovely and attested the high esteem with which the deceased was held. The bereaved ones have the deepest sympathy of many friends in their sorrow.
