JONES COUNTY GA Wills - Burwell Barker File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Bessie Spivey Burwell Barker Will Georgia Jones County Know all men by these presents that I, Burwell Barker of the county and state aforesaid being this day in a sound state of health of body and mind but calling to mind the uncertainty of live and the certainty of Death - I do ordain and constitute this my last will and testament and after recommending my soul to God and my body to the dust from whence it came, I dispose of what Earthly goods and effects it has been pleased God to bestow on me in the following manner-. In the first place I give unto my son in law Thomas H. Stead five dollars in cash - and secondly to my daughter Rowan Worthington five dollars in cash - and 3rdly I give unto my grand daughter Sarah Epps Barker daughter of Thomas L. Barker all of the property of effects that I may have on hand or be possessed of at my death - as well also the money I may have on hand after all of my just debts are paid - and fourthly do ordain constitute and appoint William S. Middlebrooks of the same county and state my sole Executor to carry this my will into effect - Given under my hand and Seal this 23rd day of May in the year of our Lord 1836. Thomas J.
