BILLINGSLEA JONES COUNTY, GEORGIA, WILL RECORD D, PAGES 75-77 Georgia Jones County I, James A. Billingslea of said county being of sound mind and disposing memory do make constitute and appoint this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following. 1. I will and bequeath unto my beloved mother Elizabeth Lowther all my estate, real and personal, consisting of land, negroes, [illegible] property..mules horses Stock of every description, corn, fodder, wheat, oats, farming utensils, carriage wagons, money notes and accounts, and all other property, or estate, of whatever kind or description except hereinafter Specified, to have and to hold the same forever, in fee simple. 2. I will and bequeath unto my friends, Richard H. Hutchings and James M. Gray the following named negroes, to wit Fereby and her two children, Lucy and Jim, Eliza and her children, Constance, Elbert, Elizabeth, Ann Lavinia, Mary Jane, and Robert. I also will to the said Richard H. Hutchings and James M. Gray the sum of thirteen thousand dollars to have and to hold said negroes and money, unto them and their heirs forever, said thirteen thousand dollars to be raised by the sale of such negroes or other property as my executors may select for that purpose. 3. I hereby nominate and appoint the said Richard H. Hutchings and and James M. Gray my executors to carry into effect this my last will and testament. James A. Clower who being duly sworn saith that they saw James A. Billingslea the testator sign seal declare and publish the foregoing instrument now presented to the court as his last will and testament freely voluntarily and of his own accord and without compulsion or undue influence whatever, that at the time of execution of the said will, he was of sound and disposing mind and memory, that deponents signed the same as witnesses in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other.
