I James Billingslea being weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind and memory but calling to my recollection that it is appointed for all men to die, do make and constitute this to be my last will and testament. Item 1st. It is my will and desire that my Exr. Exrs. [sic] hereinafter after [sic] mentioned shall pay off all my just and equitable debts if there should be any as soon as convenient. Item 2nd. It is my will that my wife Elizabeth Billingslea and all my children have a equal share in all my property both real and personaly [sic] to a Court at the time of a division. Item 3rd. It is my wish and my will that all my property be kept together on a farm and and worked as though I was alive until the first child becomes of age, or should my wife Elizabeth Billingslea wish to have her share at any time, it is my wish that all my property be appraised by proper appraisers and for her to take of her proper part, or when any of my children becomes of age they shall draw their equal share by appraisement and in all cases the balance that is not Legally taken off I wish to be throwed together as common stock until the next child becomes of age, and so on until all my property is legally disposed of by appraisement. Item 4th. Should any of my negroes become ungovernable and will not be controlled I wish my Executors to sell him or them, and if necessary to supply their places with another or others. And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint Elixabeth Billingslea my wife and Jonathan Parrish my Executors to Execute this my last will and testament hereby recalling all others heretofore made by me.
