I Mary B. Pitts of Jones County & Said State being of Sound mind and disposing memory & mind do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking any & all wills & testaments heretofore made and Executed by me whatsoever wherever the same may be found. Item 1st. It is my will & desire that my body be decently & properly buried in the grave yard at Clinton Jones Co. Ga. Item 2d. It is my wish that any & all the usual expenses incurred by reason of my death & the proper probate & record of this my last will & testament be first paid. Item 3rd. Whereas I have as Executrix of my deceased Husband Peyton T. Pitts Sr. in carrying out the several items of his last Will & testament paid out of the money left to me by his Said Will & received on his policy of insurance the following debts and specific legacies to wit - Fourteen hundred dollars due and owing to the First Nat. Bank of Macon Ga. - two hundred & fifty dollars to the Methodist Church at Pitts Chapel & twenty five hundred dollars to Peyton H. Griswold & other smaller sums making the sum of forty three hundred dollars being the amount received by me under the policy of insurance before referred & which amount is now due me from the Estate of my deceased husband it is therefore my wish and desire after the payment of the burial expenses &c. as expressed in item the second of this my will then the balance of Said sum of forty three hundred dollars left remaining be equally divided share & share alike among the Grand Children of the said Peyton T. Pitts deceased to wit: Annie M. Griswold wife of Chls. T. Griswold Carrie E. Kingman wife of Robt. H. Kingman - Abbie M. Yarborough - Harry A. Gibson - Lizzie R. Moore Peyton T. Pitts Jr. & Mattie T. Pitts. Item 4th. It is my further wish & desire & I hereby direct that my Executors hereinafter named will see to it in express terms that if any of the above named Legatees Either individually or by or through any other relative or friend or persons whatsoever Shall contest or caveat this my last will & testament then I direct in that event such part coming to that legatee or legatees be disallowed and any part or interest in said money as so given them by item the third & that there share or interest in that event be equally divided among those who offer no contest share & share alike. Item 5th. I hereby nominate & appoint Robt. H. Kingman & Chls. T. Griswold my true & lawful executors to carry out this my last will & testament this Apl. 9th 1887. Mary B.
