I James Williams of Jones County and State of Georgia being of sound & perfect mind & memory, blessed be God do this first day of June in the year of our Lord 1819, make & publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say, first I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha Moore one negro girl by the name of Rose, now in her possesion, one feather bed & furniture & what I have heretofore given her to her and her heirs forever. Item 1st. I give & bequeath to my daughter Eliza D. McDowell one negro boy by the name of Edmund one feather bed & furniture and what I have heretofore given her to her and her heirs forever. I also lend unto my said daughter Eliza one negro woman named Michel untill I or her mother calls for her and no longer. Item 2d. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Rebeccah M. Bunkley one negro girl named Mariah one feather bed & furniture, one horse & saddle now in her possession & what I have heretofore given her, her & her heirs forever. Item 3d. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary W. Williams one negro girl by the name of Susan one feather bed & furniture, one horse & saddle to her & her heirs forever. Item 4. I give & bequeath to my son Howell Flewellen Williams one negro woman & child by the names of Olive & Ben one feather bed & furniture, one horse and saddle one gun to him & his heirs forever. Item 5. I give & bequeath to my son William D. Williams one negro boy by the name of Harry one feather bed & furniture, one horse & saddle & one gun to him & his heirs forever. And it is my wish & desire that the above named negroes Olive & Ben & Harry which said negroes I wish to continue with my wife Sally Williams until Howell F. Williams & Wm. D. Williams respectively come of age. And also my will & desire is that my said son Wm. have his choice of a young negro of the increase of the remaining stock. I lend to my beloved wife Sally Williams all my lands & all the rest & residue of my property after paying all my Just debts, during her life or widowhood - provided she should marry my will & desire is she should have a childs part of the perishable property & at her death to be equally divided between my four daughters Martha Moore, Eliza McDowell, Mary W. Williams, Rebeccah M. Bunkley, except my two daughters Mary W. Williams & Rebeccah Bunkley my will & desire is that they should have one hundred & fifty dollars each in consequence of their negroes being inferior in value, but in case Rebecah M. Bunkley should die without issue, my will is that her part in the last division return to & be equally divided between her three sisters, Martha Moore, Eliza McDowell & Mary Williams at the expiration of the life or widowhood of my wife Sally Williams my will & desire is that my lands be divided between my two sons Howell F. Williams & Wm. D. Williams the Southern or improved part to Howel H. Williams & the balance or northern half square to my son Wm. D. Williams and I do hereby make & ordain my wife Sally Williams Executrix & my son in law Thomas C. McDowell Executor of this my last will & testament. In witness whereof I the said James Williams have to this my land will & testament set my hand & seal the day & year above written.
