Willis while working as a farm hand on Willis's farm near Willis Rd. & Yatesville Road on Thursday, May 23, 1918. Calhoun was killed Friday, May 24, 1918 on Yatesville Road in Upson Co. by a posse from Barnesville headed up by Chief Zack Evans who was wounded in thigh by shot from Calhoun's gun. Calhoun's bullet riddled body was brought to Barnesville for public display ref.: Barnesville Gazette 05/23/1918; 05/30/1918; Monroe Advertiser 05/24/1918 Concord Holt, Lucius He allegedly murdered Arthur Reynolds of West Pike County near Concord 11/30/1893. Holt, a tenant farmer on Reynolds' father place, was placed in custody. His broken neck had visible marks from rope. It is believed that he was killed 06/25/1900. The Governor has issued a proclamation July 18, 1900 for a reward for proof to convict the guilty ones.
