Means of Redbone District in Lamar County. The old home-stead for two weeks was the scene of a happy reunion, having gathered around it almost continuously, nearly all of the thirty nine children and grand-children who claim this old pioneer residence as "Home." Mr. and Mrs. Means are the parents of eleven children, all of whom are living and enjoying health. This fact within itself is of interest, for it is unusual indeed for a family so large to enjoy such a blessing. The children are as follows: Mrs. E. J. Keadle of Griffin, Misses Hermie and Kola [sic; should be Cola] Means and R. Berner Means, Hillyer and William T. Means of New York City, who are connected with the Western Electric Co., Mrs. Thomas Futch of Rochelle, Paul Means of Ben Hill, Georgia, Mrs. Homer Sappington of Barnesville, Mrs. Herman Bankston, Atlanta, and Mrs. Charles Burch of Thomaston, who until her recent marriage, was demonstrator of Thomas County. The citizens generally of Lamar county congratulate Mr. Means and his family over their good fortune. Additional Comments: Other items on the page with this clipping contain the months of August and early September 1930 so most likely this article was published in late summer 1930.
