T. Means and family when their home burned on the evening of June 1. The fire had made such headway before help got there, that very little was saved. Mr. and Mrs. Means were at home alone as Misses Hermie and Kola and Mr. Berner Means were at Gordon Commencement exercises. All organizations in the community gave a shower for the Means family at the community house Thursday afternoon as an expression of their love and esteem and sympathy.... Mr. and Mrs. Hillyer Means and family, Mrs. Herman Bankston, of Atlanta, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Keadle and family, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Sappington and family, of Barnesville, have been to see their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Means, since the fire. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/lamar/newspapers/redbonen2403nw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
